Last Tuesday January 18th we participated in the webinar “Introducing new solutions for boosting accessibility and inclusiveness in cultural heritage”, organized by the Ulysseus-European University. This webinar focused on the challenges of accessibility and inclusiveness in the fields of natural, tangible and intangible heritage, gathering specialists from all over Europe. Topics such as inclusiveness in museums, digital tools or new approaches for accessibility centered the discussions, which helped to establish new collaborations and networks.
Here we had the occasion to present the project INPACT, based in a case study located in a village called Casaio, in current Galicia (Spain), where several initiatives regarding the cultural heritage of the traumatic past have taken place, mainly deriving from the process of industrialization and the impact of the Spanish Civil War. In this pitch, we have presented the main ideas, objectives and current results regarding the engagement with the local communities as the key factor for a successful heritage management plan.
